I am logging in from the Black Canyon Coffee in Ipoh. The rain has just stopped here in the valley. The Black Canyon Coffee is a Thailand chain restaurant which has made its international presence in Malaysia, Singapore, and Dubai to name a few.
Serving mainly coffee as its main core products, it also serves food, mostly fusion food, blending in Western and Thai, so you'd be getting food such as Fusilli in Spicy Prawn Tom yam Soup, of which I just finished savoring. I thought the tom yam soup was OK ... there was too many prawns and bit of mushrooms. In total, it lacks the hot factor and the pasta taste on tom yam is kind of weird for my taste.
Anyway, I just finished watching Firewall, another kick-ass Harrison Ford movie. Man, can you believe this 60-year old guy can still pull in this role, just like he did in Air Force One, fighting the villains on his own; though this movie setting context is on saving his family while being threatened by some high tech kidnappers to set up plots to rob his banks. Few funny moments from this movie though:
- Kidnappers should read papers or listen to news about bank merger/acquisition
- Never take family's pet during a kidnap (ha-ha -- Ford's family dog apparently wears a GPS collar and that's how he tracks the family where-about)
- Internet connection from an open field out somewhere in the suburb (maybe that Seattle area has wi-fi signal, who knows!)
Arrgghhh ... , my bladder is getting full and I better run for the john. It's been fun surfing from this restaurant while blogging, chatting with my brother, replying some e-mails, finding out the new Amir Muhammad movie, The Year of Living Vicariously and getting to know how Afdlin Shauki brilliantly uses his Internet network to build his fan base and market his work!
By the way, the coffee I had was Black Canyon Iced Coffee --- the menu describes the coffee as something that you should share with your sweetheart and your favorite yuppie group ... LOL ... The coffee tastes like one of those Ipoh White Coffee.
