Ever since I read the Howard Dean article on the Vanity Fair, December 2003, I have been following his campaign in Iowa and New Hampshire and because my right to vote in the Malaysian election 2000 when I was clearly entitled to, but deprived of my right due to the ruling party jitter over that generation like me will most probably vote for the opposition, thus the shocking ruling that about 800,000 of us couldn't vote that year, and it has definitely pissed me off with the running of democracy in this country ever since, and that I think the whole election campaign here is crap, and entirely crap; thus my interest in politics has shifted to the presidential election process in the United States. Although it is not entirely clean, the processes there are more transparent, the issues are well debated, positions are taken on critical policies, and it is truly a democracy process that get to its best.
What has captured my attention of this foreign campaign was that I once saw the blogforamerica or howarddean being named as the Featured TypePad Sites, but I didn't care that much. Only until recent Iowa mess, that I got interested with the process. Prior to Iowa, Dean led the Democrats candidates to run against Bush, but John Kerry and John Howard had left him in the third place. Nevertheless, the recent primary in New Hampshire has gave Dean the significant comback in second place. With some other states to be contested, I wish all the best to Howard Dean and I do forward to support your campaign in any way I could.
And for once, I begin to understand the process of American presidential campaign! And talk about leveraging the power of blogging to the max, blogforamerica should be the ideal model of how a campaign could stir the interest and heighten the spirit of volunteers and supporters at almost every minute of the day. I mean you should take a look at the comment thread over there!!!
Dean's a loser.
