I got this weird premonition that if you were to initiate the conversation with the cab driver, you are in for trouble because they'll gonna drive bit slower as they get too comfy with you, and sooner or later the meter will shoot up like nobody's business. But this morning, as the traffic moved smoothly along the long stretch road with two big intersections, I couldn't be more happier, and as I felt good, probably because the morning weather is cooling after heavy downpour yesterday.
And being casual on Friday, I put on my favorite short-sleeve checkered shirt to the office, with a comfy wool pants to go with a nice pair of sneakers. Hah! Sound I am reliving one part of The Bonfire of The Vanity, but only in a cab, not a subway, like what should Tom Hanks (did he play that role?) have worn according to the book, unless the screenwriter altered Tom Wolfe's description in the book.
