Review: Michael Buble

When I first heard this song, a friend of mine who happened to be next door burst into laughter and we both agreed that the Paul Anka's 'Put Your Head on My Shoulder' was kinda funny. But, all that has changed now. Buble gives this song a new soul, swings it to different level, and as his biography puts it "he brings youthful energy to it"

As I've been listening to this song for the hundredth of times in these two days back to back with 'Kissing a Fool' that was previously sung by George Michael, and when I found out that Buble talent was discovered by David Foster at the former Canadian Prime Minister, Brian Mulroney's daughter wedding; I got to a point that I thought I wanted to get this guy to sing at my reception as well!

Humberto Gatica, Foster's long time collaborator later worked together to produce this mostly worthy cover version album I've ever found that has managed to awe millions of souls who favorites tunes are the likes of Van Morrison, Freddie Mercury, the Gibb Brothers etc.; that according to the store manager of the store where I bought the CD that they had been selling this album like hot cake!

At RM36.90, this 25-years old kid would make you rekindle all the 50 years meaning of romance and promises you a long future of his awesome talent. For me, it's like listening to Elvis Costello, Harry Connick Jr., and George Michael! And I would recommend this album to anyone interested in this genre.

All thumbs up for this album as commented by Najah in one of my earlier posting when I was looking for this ablum to be ripped and burnt into an mp3 collection. And it turned out that some colleagues did just that on my CD today!
